My work focuses on the themes of memory and human connections, combining research with audiovisual expression. I create films and video works starting from personal experiences or historical events, using interviews, archival materials, and other sources to construct narratives.

In one of my projects, I explored the teahouse district of Wanhua, Taipei, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using photographs I had taken in the past as a starting point, I conducted interviews with local residents to document their memories and experiences of the place.

In another work centered on family history, I investigated my grandfather’s service in the Japanese military during World War II. Drawing on documents I discovered at the National Archives of Australia, I created a video work using imagined letters as a narrative device to express intergenerational dialogue.

Currently, I continue to explore how memory and history are narrated and transformed across different cultures and societies through my filmmaking practice.
